Taught from a faith-oriented perspective, the Bachelor of Theology will equip you for Christian ministry or leadership – and broaden your horizons. The course is theologically and biblically rich, vocationally oriented, and is integrated with practical experience.

You'll be introduced to four main sub-disciplines of theology: Biblical studies, church history, systematic and practical theology subjects. You'll also have the opportunity to choose elective subjects within these disciplines to tailor your studies to meet your interests.

If studying with the intention to be ordained, Core subjects listed below apply, as well as compulsory electives which are pre-selected by the Archbishop. Please speak to the Academic Dean about the Archbishop’s list.
If not studying towards ordained ministry, the core and elective subjects below form the requirements of the degree.
All students regardless of their course of study, are strongly encouraged to make an appointment with the Academic Dean Dr Peter Kline, to develop a Study Plan before making any subjects selections.
