Books for Sale

These books are part of a magnificent donation from the late Peter Mann. The majority are in pristine condition and would make excellent presents for family and friends (or treats for yourself!). Peter collected works across many disciplines including the Arts, Philosophy, Science, History, Asian Studies and Theology.

How can I buy some of these?

However you elect to make your purchase, please ensure that you liaise with library staff. As each book is sold, we need to remove its entry on our Library Thing page.

In person using cash
Books can be purchased directly from library staff during business hours (Monday-Friday; 8:30am-4:30pm). To ensure that your visit is successful, please phone ahead to check that the library staff are available to assist and that there will be ready access to the books. There is an ATM nearby in the Milton Village shops on Baroona Road.

Via credit card
As funds from the sale of these books are effectively a donation to assist the Roscoe Library, payment can be made using the DONATE TO HELP THE ROSCOE LIBRARY link. This link can also be accessed by following the MAKE A DONATION link at the bottom of any page of the St Francis College website, or by scanning a bespoke QR code (please see the library staff).

In person using electronic funds transfer
We do not have ready access to an EFTPOS machine and there will be a two-day delay for funds to be transferred. As such, the books cannot be released until we have been notified that the payment has been received. After that occurs, you can call back for your books, or these can be mailed to you for the cost of postage (we can let you know what this will be before you transfer your funds). Ordering from a distance using electronic funds transfer

We will check that these items are still available and, if so, we’ll put the books aside for you (although the Library Thing page is being updated as books are sold, we cannot vouch that it will be 100% accurate).
